Jason Volunteers at American Fork ER...

In January Jason started volunteering in the ER at American Fork Hospital. He's there Sunday evenings from 6 to 10 pm. We thought it might be pretty slow going in a small town hospital, but they can be surprisingly busy on weekends with all the doctors' offices being closed. In the few weeks he has worked he's observed quite a bit about how things work in the ER, which will help him when he goes back to school to do nursing.

Ruth tried rice cereal for the first time Sunday morning. She had begun staring at us whenever we ate in front of her, so we figured she might be ready to sample some food of her own. The first challenge was getting it to her mouth before she intercepted the spoon with her hand. She swats things with deadly accuracy these days. Thankfully once she realized it was food, she was much more cooperative and would even lean out to meet each spoonful. Talk about ready to eat!

In the end, we figured it was easier to let her do it herself.

WOW!! Wendi and Jason...she is SUPER CUTE!!! I could just eat her up I love her so. Its so sad to think I haven't met her in person. Hopefully that will change soon.

She does look like an eager eater! That makes life sooo much easier when they are anxious to feed themselves even. How CUTE!!
