A Stop in Payette Idaho...

On our way to Washington two weeks ago we stopped in Payette, Idaho to see my old friend and college roommate Rebekka Smith (maiden name Glaves). She and her husband Jed(who wasn't quite back from a camp out with the Scouts) now live with Jed's parents while he works on his masters online through Boise State. Jed has been teaching high school and is studying how to help teachers teach via the internet.
This is their parent's home looking back from the sheep pen. Rebekka and Jed purchased some lambs that local farmers didn't want (either because the mom died or they were a twin, etc) and are raising them to sell in the fall.
This is Rebekka with her son Nathan (almost 2) and her daughter Kallista (almost 7 months--born just six days after Ruth).
Nathan is super outgoing--a very cute, very active little guy. He liked showing us around the place.
It was so good to see Rebekka again! She is one of the most "can-do" people I know.

What a FUN visit with your friend! How great to live in such a nice country setting. I bet her little Nathan loves having animals around. That's so cool you've been able to stay in touch.

I'm sure she was just as happy to see you again, and meet Jason and Ruth :)
