Balloons for Kate

We took Kate to the ER last night for her follow-up visit after putting the kids to bed. Jason was working the night shift at American Fork Hospital but was able to have someone cover for him so he could come over to the ER to be with Baby Kate while they re-did her bandages. It is easily a three-person job, so Jason helped the Nurse and PCA. The doctor recommended we take her to the University of Utah Burn Clinic, so we'll do that Tuesday since they are closed for the holiday.

We're really appreciative of everyone's kindness and messages! Here is Kate with some balloons from Aunt Deborah. She is more herself today--able to play and eat more normally. Her burns are definitely more noticeable, and we're not doing pain meds around the clock anymore, but we are doing antibiotic ointment on her face and neck. Hoping the recovery process continues to go well.
